A GALLERY IS A PLACE

where art, by dealing with it in a personal way, can considerably widen one's own horizon. In the SWW-gallery, too, visitors discover little, very surprising works of art. This is achieved by precisely stimulating their sensory organs.

THE BASIC IDEA

This installation is characterized by its combination of stable and changing elements of nature and art. As the visitors' sight is reduced by simulation, the real quality of the objects can only be recognized by dealing with them in an intensive way.

Like sensory impressions, especially natural materials constantly change. So often, they only last for a certain period of time. As these objects are able to change, the people living with us are offered the opportunity to develop their own creativity and to communicate with their environment in a competent manner by exchanging and caring for the exhibits. Visually impaired people pass surprising experiences on to other sighted people which they probably would have missed otherwise. This is a process both sides can only profit from.
